I am currently a second-year student in the Transatlantic History doctoral program. My research interests include Latin America and the Caribbean in the context of U.S. empire, African-American history, transnational labor radicalism, and race in the Americas. My time in the doctoral program at UTA has thus far been intellectually rewarding. The faculty is supportive, and the program’s emphasis on transnational methods and subjects allows for greater critical insight into the development of modern nation-states and global economy.
